We began renovating our kitchen back in January of this year and really started planning and saving a lot longer than that. I am so excited to finally reveal the space to you, along with a few before photos!
I drew up some design sketches of our kitchen and our amazing contractor, along with our cabinet maker, made my dream come to life! To show you a little of what this space looked like before I'll take you back to what our kitchen has looked like the past ten years that we have lived in our house.
Our kitchen was very much a builder grade kitchen, along with cheap cabinets, laminate countertops, plastic backsplash (made to look like tin), and no windows. I knew right away I wanted a window installed. There is little I love more than natural light and a happy, bright, calming space. I also wanted custom cabinets, marble countertops, an integrated dishwasher, and dreamy appliances.
I have to say that one of my favorite features of our kitchen, hands down, is our Nostalgie Series 40 Inch Freestanding Dual Fuel ILVE Range. It is such a gorgeous piece and quite frankly, steals the show. I had been eyeing it for ages and decided we just had to incorporate one in our kitchen design. I absolutely love the double oven, the griddle, and the beautiful brass handles and knobs. It cooks and bakes wonderfully and it is an absolute dream to look at every day.
