Living Room Reveal Part 2

When designing our living room, I gathered inspiration from all various design styles. My favorite styles being Scandinavian, Mediterranean, laid-back Californian, with a touch of French Country. I wanted a neutral living space with loads of texture.

I knew that our living room would also be a library, so I designed a wall treatment that would frame and showcase our bookshelves. This wall is the focal point of the entire room and I love the statement that it makes.

To say I am obsessed with linen is an understatement. I love how relaxed it looks, how comfortable it is, and how it ages and wears so well. I chose the Portola Slipcovered Sofa in natural from Lulu and Georgia. I love that it is 100% linen, it has a bench seat cushion, and has beautiful lines. It's truly everything I would ever want in a sofa.

When choosing a rug, I wanted to to keep with the neutral theme but add some pattern. I chose this gorgeous geometric hand knotted design. The Evet Rug is such a timeless, beautiful piece. It's the kind of rug you imagine passing down to your grandkids one day. It is so incredibly soft on the toes and really brings the entire space together.

I could not be happier with our living room. It is the kind of space that welcomes you in with a big warm hug and makes you never want to leave. Take a seat, sip a cup of coffee, grab a book off the shelf, and stay awhile, why don't you?
