One Room Challenge / Week Two / The Window

We are on our second week of the One Room Challenge! This week I am so excited to announce that we have a window in our den! Our contractor came out and he has been working on installing a large picture window. It is so beautiful and much larger than I envisioned which I love. Even in the in-between stage of it all, the room looks sooo much brighter and the window has totally changed the feel of the space.

Our contractor is still working on rewiring the electrical, putting up new sheetrock, framing the window, masonry work, etc. so it is still incomplete but I thought it would be fun to show you guys the process and how different it looks already!

I'm also so tired of the drab creamy vinyl siding and brown brick exterior. We are planning on painting and limewashing the exterior this summer!

It's so weird seeing a huge hole in the side of your house! Haha

Just imagining all that natural light we will be getting now....sigh.

Right after they installed the new window! Ahhhh I love it so much!

This room already looks 1000000x better and we still have loads to do! If you are thinking of installing a window in a room of your home I highly recommend it! The house is so much brighter and airier now. Plans for next week after they finish the window include working on that stone fireplace behind me! I can't wait to see the transformation!!

Be sure to check out the other One Room Challenge designers and guest partcipants! I'm also sharing bits and pieces of the process (along with videos of the window) on my Instagram stories.

See you next week!
