Growing Pampas Grass

Pampas Grass seems all the rage these days. It's dried plumes create the prettiest accent to a space and I love the beautiful texture it adds. I love it so much that I actually ordered a couple to plant in our yard from PlantingTree. I have since been advised that I should maybe only plant one since they are very invasive and can get out of control very quickly.

(Disclaimer: This is not the box they came in haha. I am placing them indoors and in this box until it's a little warmer to plant outside :)

I believe I am going to plant mine beside our house in a spot that gets plenty of direct sun. It is recommended that they get at least 6 hours of full sun every day. I am choosing the side of our house since it's bare and could use a little privacy from neighbors. It does grow up to 10 feet tall so it's pretty great for privacy if you are wanting to use it for that purpose. If I do decide to plant two to create an even greater barrier, it is recommended that you plant them six feet apart.

Pampas Grass has become such a trend the past couple of years and I can totally see why! It's gorgeous plumes add such a statement to a room and they ooze with texture! I thought I would share some inspiring photos for decorating with pampas grass.

If you care to shop for some of your own to grow than you can shop with the link here. Enjoy!
